  We are all working together for better treatments and hoping oneday for a cure, many organizations such as Shwachman-Diamond America raise money to support research and offer family support and information. Listed below is the link to SDA and notice there are also Cards for A Cure with a portion going to help fund such research. This group has been helpful to many families in offering comfort and direction to families coping with such a diagnosis.

There is also another group who offers information and supports research as well in the US called Shwachman-Diamond Syndrome Foundation. They can be googled and also aid in helping the SDS cause.

This may appear to be a political site but there is a faith based link to support coverage to all children and adults without insurance or like us underinsured or rejected claims. The fact is, I beleive that christains should want this. I am certainly not taking sides as we do not agree with abortion but support life, all life, life before birth and after. When any child dies from lack of insurance of lack of what Mediciad will pay that children are allowed to die, another form of murder has taken place! We fight not to remove life support to people brain dead, but nobody mentions the child who goes without care for cancer that can save them due to lack of insurance or no insurance. When you see it all around, it's hard to deny or understand a difference.
