Sublime is just a movie. However extreme it is, expecially the ending and I don't recommend the language or brutality. There is a real truth to this movie. One that it expresses queit well. There are those who live without the knowledge and those who live with it. People may wonder why we made a choice to stay in the mountains. There are a lot of Homeopathic doctors and honestly, we have come to understand that the top hospital in America, will still kill so many people from mistakes, negligence and yeas, even those just as in every feild to use you as a lab rat. Then there are the purley evil that are in every occupation in the world. Hospitals, in the United States kill more people than Cancer, Heart Disease and Car Accidents together! How, the wrong surgery, the wrong medication, the negligence and the patient to complicated to mess with.
We are all worried about health insurance companies and the surgery enters that do procedures not needed as a pay off and if someone should be hurt, the proff of anything is so hard to prove. We worry about cuts to the system, which means more poor will die and their are a whole lot of the middle class who had pretty good insurance that will find themselves in that half. The half that doesn't matter. I know , they doctors know, the adiminatration knows but until you or your loved one goes in for a simple procedure and comes out with several bacteria and infections that can literly take your life away from you. It takes, you body, your emotions, your control and everything you worked for. Sadest of all, so few relaise how bad our countries health care system is in but the won't for very long. One outbreak away, one family memeber or friend somewhere down the line, you will watch it. Medications given to cover one thing but creates five other illnesses and so more meds are needed. The cycle is the same and in the end, there are cures that countries have developed but money of pharmacitical companies don't want, hospitals don't want.
I know, I have three kids and I am off a little, that is true. I am shocked for you know as far back as I can remember, I wanted to be a nurse and trust me, we need good nurses for they are the heartbeat of a hospital. They often catch things but you need to double check.
My family have followed these top medical professionals and we have only become worse in every way. We are starting to try new treatments and new ways of care.
The best you can do, is stay as happy and healthy as possible, never take it for granted, without your health, you can live but you can't have a life.
Is it all the doctors and nurses fault? No, the have people telling them who are in buisness of making money and after awhile, they become cold. The training is another issue, in every health care field. Under staffed and not enough doctors who practice a Holistic approach, we are cut into pieces and I studied enough to know God made our systems all to work together, you have to look at the kidney if there is a problem with the bladder. You need to look at the entire body, especially when you have a disease that involves everything.
You ask the GI about the Bone Marrow which is part of it all since if their is a bacteria infection and your white cells don't work properly and that is ignored because it isn't his area, tell me, how the heck can anyone like our kids ever be healed.
Right now, the best doctor we have is our country family doctor, he still send out for specialist though but he is the last of a dying breed, one doctor for one family, knowing if Jake has strep and Graces throat hurts, that he should treat both. He knows the stress of each and the good times too. He becomes familiar and he forms a relationship which turns to what doctors used to go into medicine for, to CARE for their patients. Trust me, he was an ER doctor and is very smart and he could go for the money but their is something about living amoung such a place that brings peace to a soul. There is healing in where you live. Winnebago had that and this place, if we could, would make our home.
Why have I waited for care, in part due to money but also because I know I will have to fiqure out what it is and I have a long list that I know can be cured just as my kids but probably through a different kind of the care we are used too. I also have come to distrust doctors, hospitals and the entire system. With good reason. For years, we had one doc say they are fine while other said they would die, God gives mothers the answers if they are brave enough to dig and never give up.
Let me put it this way, Braveheart doesn't hold a candle to what I will do for my kids or my family, my neices or nephews. When we see families at the hospital in support of their nephew or neice, I can't help but feel sad that my parents weren't there. Yet I know I have an entire family in Winnebago and Abundant life that are my family and of course, Christ never leaves us.
