Prayer Requests

We pray for the safe return of American missionaries being held in Hatti. This just isn't right and while we may not know every detail, some of these are young teens and to put them in jail, seems extreme. With help from Americans, it is difficult to understand their reasoning and we call on our leaders to do everything for the safe release of those Missionaries. Our family support missionaries with prayer and believe in their work.

Our Family Believes in prayer and thank all who have ever spoke one for our kids and family.  We give Christ all the praise and glory for our many blessings. It is hard to even begin what God has and is doing for us. Each day he continues to bless us with the gift of our children.  We never want to forget all those who have honored God and our family with prayer and thus we added this page.  Please let us know if you or anyone has a request.  Post to christopherncox@yahoo.com. We will post it right away.

Please continue for a quik resolve of an horrible action being allowed against my husband and others. My husband is a Certified Respiratory Therapist and graduated from an accredited school by the CoARC as well as credendential by the National Board of Respiratory to take his test. He passed and has practiced as a CRT for over twenty years. He also belonged to the AARC and membership which should have protected their members by giving them a heads up that CRT's are being phased out and soon will not be employable by anyone. This is my husbands livelihood and many others as well. Hospitals have stopped hiring CRT's and most schools and associations say they are being dumped off. It is a horrible thing that in our country, a person can attend a school that is accredited by the organizations given power to do so and then without any notification being told they will not only be eliminated but there is no option to gain to take the RRT test. There are no bridge programs nor in many cases an official transcript given for the time my hibsnad attened as all records have been lost even though the program was bought by a community college and offered for a number of years 30 credit hours and advanced standing in the RRT program snd thus able to protect their jobs and take the exam. There are many RRT position available but few CRT and before long, there will be none. I have researched this and found no other accredided school that has been able to revolk ones education and livelihood. I am praying for a resolution to this program and also ask for any assistance that one may have to offer, Congressman, lawyers or any help on this issue. It is wrong. All my husband wants to do is acquire his transcript that he worked hard for and collect the same 30 credit hours they were able to give to students before and finish the requirements for his degree so he can set for his RRT exam and further his knowledge and continue to give to a profession he has for over 20 years. Again prayer is always the best tool so please join us and pray by next week this can be resolved and we can enroll Chris online and in courses while working so he will not loose his livelihood.

Of course I know many of us are thinking of the Hattis Aftermath of the Eathquake that hit there and so many need prayer. Verision and Sprint are both sending the text pledge now instead of waiting several months before all those pledges were actually paid which is wonderful for them to do. Our hearts break as we see pictures and hear of the sad stories there. We pray as each day passes that people are saved and food and water as well as health care is given right away.

Please continued prayer for Jake as he is still not doing much better but we are set to seek out another facility for his care. He was given Periactin to increase his appetite which was working well but his stomach is still a mess and so we know there is more going on and we need attention to it. He is a great kid but has been so sick for so long. He was to start a college program because he had a high SAT score but he is just too weak. He is keeping up but takes rests inbetween. We plan to try online courses as soon as we get back next week from the doctor.

HUGE PRAISE, We want to thank so many for their ongoing support and the huge turnout for Freezin for a Reason. Chris and Grace attended this year as Jake, Samuel and I were all ill. They had such a great time and so many friends were there with nothing but heping us on their mind. WE have been so blessed.

Prayer for myself as we are working with doctors to find out what is going on with me. They know it is an immune disease but trying to narrow it down. Along with that my entire is spine isn't good and I have several spine and ligement syndromes and diseases. This is common on my mom's side of the family as many of my cousins are suffering with the same thing. My father also suffered from this disease and I must have recieved both sides. The amount of illness in my large family of thirty five first cousins is astonishing. My mother died young of a rare cancer along with seven of nine siblings before my own grandmother died. They worked in the depression out in Washington state on fruit farms and were exposed to pestisides and near a Necluer Plant. Severl of my cousins are in a NIH program and I plan to visit their doctors as well. It is possible that the kids immune disease is the same as mine just worse but they also have the bone marrow disease which I do not have. I will be having a bone marrow tests soon and we will know more than. I am dealing with constant pain as well as GI issues.

My friend Gail Shmitt from Lake Winnebago husband Kurt suffered the loose of his mother on Christmas Eve, it was a hard blow. They also have a pretty fostor daughter with them who has been through a great deal and she needs prayer, her name is Annabelle. Gail has been in my life for years and her daughter Victoria is the same age as Grace. Gail is someone I look up to in that she is always doing for others. She is a wonderful wife, mother and friend and I miss her so much.

Please pray for the families of Ron Bramlett at the lose of their loved one. We know we are to rejoice that he is home with our Lord but we also know that the sting of death is awful. In this time we pray for peace for his wife and family and friends. He will be missed in the daily lives of those who were priveliged to know him. He is safe in the Arms of Jesus!

We pray always for all memebers in the mission feild as well as our church home, Abundant Life Baptist that we love so much. We pray for those churches out here that we have been a part of as well.

Continued prayer for several of my friends who are going through hard times. We know God is a bid God and His love is able to conquer so much.

We ask continued prayer for a sad situation in which a person we knew who is working hard to detroy our families name which we know we cal upon the name of Christ and no one can have control over your emotions unless you allow them too. Still, we have concern for the amount of hate directed at us and know no good can come from Hate. We are all tired of it and have worked so hard to not allow it to be an issue in our life but the damage is getting worse and our childrens care is in jeopordy. We have prayed and ask others o pray about this situation and this person.

We also know that just the WSJ article set off people we don't know for certain who they are and may be strangers but have sent emails and left phone messages to my daughter and son that are cruel. Again, not everyone will be happy for our family or agree with our positions but it is a low blow to hurt children. Thankfully, it was a leason my kids were able to handle and turn it over to God. They know what they fight everyday and that their lives are far from normal but they can accomplish great things for Him. Our families goal is not just to conquer illness and this website is for our family and extension of our love for Christ and a tribute to all He has and continues to do for our family.

We give praise as Grace has been ve healthy and doing really well for the last several months. She works hard at school and has dreams that every young girl dreams.

You can feel your beaten and blame others and be angry, depressed and sad or you can look at the good side, the blessings, the little things, spending time together, friends who continue to reach out and love and support. In the end it is all about what we did with what He allowed us. I must admit, I feel sad and angry sometimes and can lash out. I find it only makes things worse and instead, forgiving yourself and others, learning to trust that He knows why. It is often hard for us not all to feel sorry for ourselves, our family can do that well. Humans do it well. Then God will show us His love even when we are so weak in a way that makes us feel ashamed. That is Him in us. I thank God everyday, He lives within me, within our family. That makes us content. That is the goal of life. It doesn't men we wish to remain sick, out of work, out of a home but it assures us we know where our real bodies, work and home are. No one can take that from us as we are made whole trough Him and we are forever His children.

We ask for an unspoken request.

Continued Prayer for those who will miss my Aunt Wilma.

Prayer for Mike and the Rhoades on the mission feild, safe return and souls won.

For our country and our churches and all families with whatever they are going through and these hard times. We pray we will lean on You more now than ever before.

Wonderful news for Van and Judy Hopper who had an all clear cancer free! We are so happy for you both and will remember that Judy has an upcoming heart procedures and know God will work His miricles as well.

We request continued prayer for Lauren Waddel who is a friend of ours and is pregnant with a baby girl and has a sweet son we have grown attached to, Tanner who we babaysit when lucky! She will be further away but we still plan to be here for her as soon as we are all clear. Her father lost his wife in a horrible accident years ago and left behind Tim, Emily, Reid, Lauren and these sweet babies she would have been so proud of. This family have grabbed our heart and Reid is Sam's best bud. It is so hard on little guys to loose their playmate. His garndparents are near us so as soon as we know we are all clear, we hope to make weekend trips. We ask prayer for Reid and Samuel to adjust to this change and ask Christ to watch out for this family and keep them strong. We thank them for their friendship and support and will miss having them just across the road. We pray this baby is born healthy and know how blessed they are to be surrounded by this families love. Lauren is a wonderful mother.

Please pray for Aboney who is a women I met going through a really rough time as well as her son Trezere who is 13. They moved to SC from NY hoping for a better life when things started to take a turn for the worse. Trezere, needs constant prayer right now so does his mother. She is doing all she can by herself and things are just rough.

,

My second cousin Kystal is 21 and just had a little baby boy and she is very sick. her Appedix burst and she didn't have any white cells which sounds a bit too close to our situation. We were able to get her records to Ohio where we can have our doctor look them over and make certain she is in no danger of having any part of this disease.  She can't breathe and her Oxygen level is at 83%. She is a tiny but tough red headed Prock and  God can touch her body and heal her. Her sons are two and is a newborn and Justine needs his family healing and Kystal is to return to work soon so we ask she is well enough and strong enough to return to this good job she has. The boys are Bow and Cole and are sweet as can be. Pray for Cole who islittle and needs his momma. Pray for him as well and the entire family.

We pray for all the needs unsaid and for all our friends and family. We ask God to forgive us and thank Him for so many blessings.

Continued prayer for Christy and her family.

My friend Roxy needs prayer as does her family

We also need to make it clear how important PRAISE HIM as well. This often seems to go unsaid and boy, do we owe Him so much. When we get down and fell sorry for ourselves, we do have a few people we call and just grip and complain to. Everyone does and each of us need that but when were in the quite moments, alone and afraid, each of us does ther own thing. I like to take small walks and just thank Him for His gifts. Our family, Chris will always have us say three things were thankfull for during any prayer. This is a great way to pull us closer together and remind us, we do indeed have so much.

We praise Him for providing this home we are in, for meeting our needs and for giving us peace and time with each other. We thank Him for our family, my big brother and sister, my inlaws and all our extented Family. Aunt Nina, Lisa, Alisha, Jeannie, Enda, Gary, David and my nieces and nephews. So many unnamed cousins, God blessed us with a lot of them!

We are grateful to Susan and Sid and Family, Andrews, Family Christina Smith Gail Pickertt and Gail Shmitt, Sunsan, Jon Family and our prayers are with them.

All those at Abundant Life who love us and help us. Our words will never be enough.

Praise Him for our church families, all of them. Thank you for the love the wraps us up all the time. We are so glad we have them at our side.

1st John 5:15 And if we know that He hears us,whatever we ask, weknow that we have the petitions that we have asked Him.

For all of those who came together at Abundant Life and called us to pray over the speaker phone, we give thanks. You will never know the impact it had on us at that moment. We are seeing God answer prayers and while still in need, had a peace wash over us and feel protected and strong in Him by way of a group of believers who came together, took time out of their busy lives and made a point to call a family that no longer attends and still love and care for us. Trust us, this church has wonderful leadership and is backed by a wonderful group of strong Christians. Chris and I will never be able to repay the debt of all this church has done but God will and bless it Abundantly!

Psalms 56:17 Evening and morning shall I pray, and cry ALOUD: and He shall hear my voice

The bad thing is were in the middle of school and we can't just stop that so we have to continue with that. I was planning to return to school in late September online for Christian Counseling and may have to wait, I plan to try. I just know it may not be the time but there is always another time.

I ask prayer for the little fellow across the street, Reid and Samuel as they are as tight as brothers. It will be so hard on them both and I am attched to him as well as his entire family. His mom had an awful death. She, from what I have heard was a wonderful Christian women who was giving and caring. The love of Tim's life. he was left with three children. Emily is twelve and a sweet girl. Lauren is 22 and has the cutest baby boy, Tanner who we love to watch when we can. Reid and Samuel are togther so much and that is what I will hate the most. Lauren and I have become friends. She is pregnant with her second child and needs a lot of support and help. She is across the street so it is nice as she gives me love and support too. If I need Sam to stay, Tim or Lauren will take him and the same with Reid and Tanner.  I would love to keep Tanner more but I don't always feel well enough. He is the easiest, smartest and cutest baby to take care of and everyone here loves to keep him. Emily needs prayer to as it can't be an easy road. She seems to be doing well and strikes me as being smart. Lauren is very smart and really sweet and pretty girl. The hardest part of leaving here will be that family.  Pray for Reid as he has become like part of our family and Tanner as well as Tim who is a good man, for Emily at age twelve without a mother must be hard, Lauren has been like a mother to her younger siblings but has her own concerns with one child and another on the way. Please bring another family into their lives and help each of them.

Our Aunt MaryAnn and Scotty live in Lake Winnebago where they deserve as they never gave up on their dream and allowed nobody to stop them. God blessed them with the dream they had both worked so hard and continue to for. MaryAnn had knee surgery not long ago and she needs continued prayer for healing of that as well as her over all health. Chris and I love them dearly and are priveleged they are a part of our lives. We wish we were just down the street from them again so often!

We too have dreams of our own, even when your in survivial mode, we have our dreams and that is because of Christ. He wants us to not just survive but thrive. We are to live abundantly and right now, we may not say were thriving but we are abundantly blessed.

                                                          A Praise

My brother's cancer on his nose is not bad at all and he should be fine. We are all very happy to know his big Prock nose is fine and working well!!!We sure wouldn't want anything to go wrong there!!!!!

My sister came an helped so much this past week, I must say, I have two very good siblings and two great sister in laws and two brother in laws. Chris and I know for Granny and Pop, for all in our family, they too have a burden put onto them due to our situation. They all do as much as they can and we love them for it. My in laws do a tremendous amount to help us out when we get in a bind. We are blessed to have such a family. All of my neices and nephews also suffer. My sisters kids, lived at my house and our kids were very close, they all have shared some wonderful times and we look forward to sharing many more times together of pure fun and forgetting this disease isn't our life, just a part of it. Having fun and enjoying times together is the main point.

Also Julie , is still having issues but Rachel is doing better at least, not 100% but better. Also my neice Rachel was one who was sent home from KU and didn't have the swine flu! Huge relief! My kids were in getting their marrows when I found that out and was worried sick, she is fine and were thankful. I have one niece, Rachel in College, Two nephews in College, Blaise is in his second year and David is in hi first year so they need prayer and I'm sure they will be fine and have fun, I also have my friends daughter that I'm close to and she too started her first year and needs prayer, Laci is her name. I have a second cousin, Brittney who starts her first year as well, so lots of college kids! I also want to mention Justine and Emily Rhoades as they are also in college. The Rhoads always need prayer as they travel often and are in El Salvador as Missionaries. We love them and pray for them daily.

There were several SDA families who were up last week when we were there and we pray all of their marrows come back fine as well.

We have such great love for our kids Doctor and his family and pray each day for all he works to acheive and has worked. He and his wife are special people. We also love all the nurses, Theresa and many others. All of our doctors, including mine and ask God to be with each of them.

. Please pray a job comes his way and would be better with a larger company with great health insurance. His experience and references are great as he ran a Durable Medical Equipement Company and worked for many other's all with high regard. He is currently in medical sales and has done well with his also even given the economy. Please if anyone has such a job, please call or e-mail. His number is 816-522-5677 or his e-mail is christopherncox@yahoo.com.

We pray for all the SDS families and PIDD kids as well as multicystic kidney kids. Well we pray for all families, kids and anyone who bears any illness.

Please pray for our dear freind Mike who is so dear to our family and is hurting right now. He needs lots of love and reassurance from his chirch home and all those that love him. He is feeling so much regret and satan again is trying hard to bring down his sprirt and keep his personnel testimony from being shared.  We love you Mike! More importantly, God is a forgiving, loving friend. Both his parents are in the nursing home right now and he is taking care of them.

We give praise for my friend, Christy who's mom has back surgery and is doing great as well as her grandmother who is also settling in the nursing home.

We also pray for so many of our friends and family who are suffering from lose of jobs and for a fast recovery to this economy.

We couln't begin to thank so many wonderful people in our lives but I must mention my many long standing friends who always know how to make me laugh and have a great time. Many from childhood and when you have known someone that long, you really Know them, no matter where we go or they go, our hearts stay close, Christy, Missy, Karrie, Shanon are childhood friends for who I love so much. Also, Julie Hartman, Stacy Crabtree and Susan and John, Gail and Kurt Shmitt and her family.

Everyone at Lake Winnebago Missouri, Rich Lapietra, Reece Wolff, The Lytles, Susan Noonon, Alicha Holecheck and so so many more, please know too all of you from those we don't know to those we do and those who gave of time and prayer we love and thank you.

Then there the Blue Ridge Christain friends and staff which closed this year and with it brings a saddness but also memories of a tight knight family who were taught well in Christ. Mr  and Mrs. Rogers, Mrs. Potter, Ms. Shnieder, Mrs. Gibson and Mrs. Balnkenship all gave many kids love and prayer and set a foundation we will always be proud of. I hope each of them find jobs quickly as you could not ask for better teachers! Also, stong friendships that came from this group include,Susan and Sid Cumberland,  Christaina Smith, Mark and Theresa Andrews, Gail Pickert, Sue Wolfords and family and Lylia Trotter{Mark} and so many others who still pray and stay connected to us.

As you can see, leaving home was a big deal and friends like that are not easy to come by. We miss so many there yet have made others along the way and God has placed very special people in our path of life. Phil and Meg Williams and family as well as Johnny Haywood, Samuel Karate teachers and too many others to mention from church. The impacts these friends have made in our lives and the impact of churches across the US is wonderful.

We give praise to Mt. Carney Church as well as Evening Shade, Grace Community and many others, including families churches all over.

I have some of the sweetest extended family, actually a huge family and so many of them are a huge part of our lives as well. We love all the Procks, Hurleys, Blankenships, Barrs and everything inbetween!

Our family never want to forget who we beleive is truley responsible for all of the blessings that have been given to us and want to never forget where every breath and every blessing comes from.  We also remember that even if every blessing was taken from us, He would still be there to carry us through and will always be our Lord and Savoir.  He will bring us through this time of pain and heal our hearts and minds. Ervan is finally free of pain and the reason why he followed Jesus so one day he would walk with HIm forever in a Glorified body!
