Prayer Requests
Prayer for Jake who has been sick far too long and for God to direct us in his care. He is unable to gain any weight and has lost 25 pounds with his top weight at 115 and he will soon be 17. He had gained some back with antibiotic treatment but then lost it again but in a severe manor. Samuel also has similair issues but not as bad, though he has a broken Jaw in the worst place possible and he will deal with years of surgeries which won't help him eat any better. Grace needs prayer for recent findings and we know God can touch all of them as well as use others to touch their bodies. Chris has too much for any man to handle, with a full load he has too worry about his entire family as I have some health issues that need to be taken care off. None of this can be done until Jake and my kids are first taken care of. So we have an awful lot to ask in prayer but that is all we know to do right now. Pray for Samuel, his jaw and for Grace and the news we have as well as the marrows which we do have concerns about. Please pray for my own health which we believe to be this bacteria C-Diff and Jake was unable to get over it as a result, Samuel and I seem to have the same stuff we had and it has been going on for a year now. I need to be healthy and strong so I can take care of my family. Pray for Chris, who is an amazing husband and a Godly man but he is human and this we are struggling with so much on our plate and school starting. Jake will have to work hard to keep up and I don't know if he can.
Each time we go to the hospital, we see so many awful things and are grateful for the blessings God has given us. This time, we heard a story of a 8 year old boy, same as Samuel named Christopher. His Aunt was in the elavator and I wish I had their entire name but we can pray and God knows who he is. He was born with an awful disease where his bones are eaten away and grafts must be done. He has to stay in the split position with a bar between his lags to keep them apart and is in aganoy. I must stay that way for six months and my two younger kids heard and we all felt so bad for this child. Could you imagine? This family needs prayer but Christopher needs extra prayer.
Asking prayer for my Aunt Nina who isn't well. She is one of our last living aunts or uncles for that matter and I am very close to her.
Ask prayer for my cousin Jim Hurley at the loss of his wife who joined Chris after a battle of illness. We ask for God to grant them grace and peace while they mourn her loss.
Our family has great respect for the men and women who protect our country. As my own father and most every Uncle served in the Armed Forces, we were brought up to pray for all those fighting for what we all can take for granted. To have a son or daughter overseas in Iraq or any war zone is something only they can graspe but at the recall of my grandmothers and mother's stories and how community and churches never seized to pray and help those who were left behind, husbandless, fatherles, motherless, daughterless, sonless and never knowing for certain what the new day holds. We have a request to pray for a family we hold dear to our hearts. Rick and Glenda Freizen are the pastor assitant at our old church Abundant Life and they have two boys, Ben who is in his last year of college and there oldest Kyle who is over in Iraq fighting and we would request that special prayers would go up for this young man who is doing something so extrodinary for our country and God. Bless him and keep him safe. Give his family and friends the peace to carry on while he is away and knowing our God is a great God. He is in His hands and we pray as he is there he will be a light to those who do not know Christ.
Praise Him for look what He has done! Everyone was safe at Running For a Reason and while we were sad we couldn't be there, we were in spirit and in heart. Thanks to everyone who helped in anyway and a special thanks to Monte for putting this all together. We thank Abundant Life Baptist and all those in our church family who continue to keep our family close to their hearts and lift us up with prayers, support and love. We also continue to say thank you to Lake Winnebago and so many friends who continue to give to our family by opening their community and hearts to us over and over again. We Thank Our Lord who has blessed our children and this family. He is so good and evn if He took away every blessing, He is still God and we are in love with Him.
We have been through some very unjust things all of our life. When you are poor and weak, you learn very fast that your justice won't come on the Earth but it is God's and only then will you know justice. He says to give our enemies over to Him and to forgive and go on, to pray for them and we know that bitterness will only hurt us, not anyone else. Christ forgives us over and over and He will take care of your family. He will send the right people to help your family and He is in control. Our job is to pray for direction and to do as much as we can and the rest is up to Christ. We thank so many who step in and help and know you may not be rewarded now but you will be one day.
We ask prayer for our Country and all those who are suffering without jobs, homes. We know how hard and we know many of you are out of jobs.
Please keep my close friend from childhood, Missy and her husband Bobby who just had a brand new sweet baby girl, Abby as well as Ellie who is 20 months old and that makes it rough. She has two older boys, so it's a lot to handle plus working two jobs. I have known her since I was nine and she has always been able to take on more and do more than most. She is smart and a sweet friend. I miss her, we had dreams of raising our children together and I would love to be there for her. Her husband and she have their hands full but with prayer and support, they will be fine. She had them a bit later but many mom's have and are doing that and are just fine. I know her family and they are a tight knit family and help one another. Still, they need prayer.
As on the first page, continued prayer for Samuel and his jaw to heal. Everything else, his tongue, chin, knee are healed. He is eating pretty good. We just have to get the checkups and pray for his jaw to grow. Also, continued prayer for Jake and we give thanks that Grace is doing well.
Pray for Susan Cumberland as she is very sick and making work harder and harder on her. Ptay for her family as well. Pray for Sid and Lacy and Sara as they all have suffered a lot this year. For Charlotte, Sunsan's mom who lost her dear sweet husband tis year. He was such a major part of their lives and it will take time to heal.
Pray for my many friends in teaching to keep or find work and many others struggling.
My friend Christy and her family, dad on bladder cancer, mom sick with back issues and grandma is a care facility all on top of her kids.
My cousins and family as well as extended familes and nieces and nephew who I know will do well.
Family who's husband was killed by bushhog about 6-7 weeks maybe and her daugher, 41 took her own life leaving three kids behind, pray for the mother and husband. Bonnie, our hearts are with you.
We ask blessings and saftey for all of the mission trips and friends of ours who are out in the feild. For everyone who we do not know their needs.
We continue to pray for the people in Hatti as well as the safty of those there to help. We pray for the coal miners and their families and for the Earthquake in China. Prayers for all those who are without jobs, homeless and scared. For those who are rich, in the middle and for the poor, who I keep hearing on the news are taken care off but since I know a few and have been there too, if you asked any of them, I don't think they would agree. I think our country as a developed country should strive to have more middle, less rich and less poor! Seems to me thats what Jesus would want. So much is going on in this day and age and makes me long for His coming.
Our Family Believes in prayer and thank all who have ever spoke one for our kids and family. We give Christ all the praise and glory for our many blessings. It is hard to even begin what God has and is doing for us. Each day he continues to bless us with the gift of our children. We never want to forget all those who have honored God and our family with prayer and thus we added this page.
You can feel your beaten and blame others and be angry, depressed and sad or you can look at the good side, the blessings, the little things, spending time together, friends who continue to reach out and love and support. In the end it is all about what we did with what He allowed us. I must admit, I feel sad and angry sometimes and can lash out. I find it only makes things worse and instead, forgiving yourself and others, learning to trust that He knows why. It is often hard for us not all to feel sorry for ourselves, our family can do that well. Humans do it well. Then God will show us His love even when we are so weak in a way that makes us feel ashamed. That is Him in us. I thank God everyday, He lives within me, within our family. That makes us content. That is the goal of life. It doesn't mean we wish to remain sick, out of work, out of a home but it assures us we know where our real bodies, work and home are. No one can take that from us as we are made whole trough Him and we are forever His children.
We ask for an unspoken request.
Continued Prayer for those who will miss my Aunt Wilma.
Prayer for Mike and the Rhoades on the mission feild, safe return and souls won.
For our country and our churches and all families with whatever they are going through and these hard times. We pray we will lean on You more now than ever before.
My friend Roxy needs prayer as does her family
We praise Him for providing this home we are in, for meeting our needs and for giving us peace and time with each other. We thank Him for our family, my big brother and sister, my inlaws and all our extented Family. Aunt Nina, Lisa, Alisha, Jeannie, Enda, Gary, David and my nieces and nephews. So many unnamed cousins, God blessed us with a lot of them!
We are grateful to Susan and Sid and Family, Andrews, Family Christina Smith Gail Pickertt and Gail Shmitt, Sunsan, Jon Family and our prayers are with them.
All those at Abundant Life who love us and help us. Our words will never be enough.
Praise Him for our church families, all of them. Thank you for the love the wraps us up all the time. We are so glad we have them at our side.
1st John 5:15 And if we know that He hears us,whatever we ask, weknow that we have the petitions that we have asked Him.
For all of those who came together at Abundant Life and called us to pray over the speaker phone, we give thanks. You will never know the impact it had on us at that moment. We are seeing God answer prayers and while still in need, had a peace wash over us and feel protected and strong in Him by way of a group of believers who came together, took time out of their busy lives and made a point to call a family that no longer attends and still love and care for us. Trust us, this church has wonderful leadership and is backed by a wonderful group of strong Christians. Chris and I will never be able to repay the debt of all this church has done but God will and bless it Abundantly!
Psalms 56:17 Evening and morning shall I pray, and cry ALOUD: and He shall hear my voice
The bad thing is were in the middle of school and we can't just stop that so we have to continue with that. I was planning to return to school in late September online for Christian Counseling and may have to wait, I plan to try. I just know it may not be the time but there is always another time.
I ask prayer for the little fellow across the street, Reid and Samuel as they are as tight as brothers. It will be so hard on them both and I am attched to him as well as his entire family. His mom had an awful death. She, from what I have heard was a wonderful Christian women who was giving and caring. The love of Tim's life. he was left with three children. Emily is twelve and a sweet girl. Lauren is 22 and has the cutest baby boy, Tanner who we love to watch when we can. Reid and Samuel are togther so much and that is what I will hate the most. Lauren and I have become friends. She is pregnant with her second child and needs a lot of support and help. She is across the street so it is nice as she gives me love and support too. If I need Sam to stay, Tim or Lauren will take him and the same with Reid and Tanner. I would love to keep Tanner more but I don't always feel well enough. He is the easiest, smartest and cutest baby to take care of and everyone here loves to keep him. Emily needs prayer to as it can't be an easy road. She seems to be doing well and strikes me as being smart. Lauren is very smart and really sweet and pretty girl. The hardest part of leaving here will be that family. Pray for Reid as he has become like part of our family and Tanner as well as Tim who is a good man, for Emily at age twelve without a mother must be hard, Lauren has been like a mother to her younger siblings but has her own concerns with one child and another on the way. Please bring another family into their lives and help each of them.
Our Aunt MaryAnn and Scotty live in Lake Winnebago where they deserve as they never gave up on their dream and allowed nobody to stop them. God blessed them with the dream they had both worked so hard and continue to for. MaryAnn had knee surgery not long ago and she needs continued prayer for healing of that as well as her over all health. Chris and I love them dearly and are priveleged they are a part of our lives. We wish we were just down the street from them again so often!
We too have dreams of our own, even when your in survivial mode, we have our dreams and that is because of Christ. He wants us to not just survive but thrive. We are to live abundantly and right now, we may not say were thriving but we are abundantly blessed.
A Praise

My sister came an helped so much this past week, I must say, I have two very good siblings and two great sister in laws and two brother in laws. Chris and I know for Granny and Pop, for all in our family, they too have a burden put onto them due to our situation. They all do as much as they can and we love them for it. My in laws do a tremendous amount to help us out when we get in a bind. We are blessed to have such a family. All of my neices and nephews also suffer. My sisters kids, lived at my house and our kids were very close, they all have shared some wonderful times and we look forward to sharing many more times together of pure fun and forgetting this disease isn't our life, just a part of it. Having fun and enjoying times together is the main point.
Also Julie , is still having issues but Rachel is doing better at least, not 100% but better. Also my neice Rachel was one who was sent home from KU and didn't have the swine flu! Huge relief! My kids were in getting their marrows when I found that out and was worried sick, she is fine and were thankful. I have one niece, Rachel in College, Two nephews in College, Blaise is in his second year and David is in hi first year so they need prayer and I'm sure they will be fine and have fun, I also have my friends daughter that I'm close to and she too started her first year and needs prayer, Laci is her name. I have a second cousin, Brittney who starts her first year as well, so lots of college kids! I also want to mention Justine and Emily Rhoades as they are also in college. The Rhoads always need prayer as they travel often and are in El Salvador as Missionaries. We love them and pray for them daily.
There were several SDA families who were up last week when we were there and we pray all of their marrows come back fine as well.

More importantly, God is a forgiving, loving friend. Both his parents are in the nursing home right now and he is taking care of them.

Then there the Blue Ridge Christain friends and staff which closed this year and with it brings a saddness but also memories of a tight knight family who were taught well in Christ. Mr and Mrs. Rogers, Mrs. Potter, Ms. Shnieder, Mrs. Gibson and Mrs. Balnkenship all gave many kids love and prayer and set a foundation we will always be proud of. I hope each of them find jobs quickly as you could not ask for better teachers! Also, stong friendships that came from this group include,Susan and Sid Cumberland, Christaina Smith, Mark and Theresa Andrews, Gail Pickert, Sue Wolfords and family and Lylia Trotter{Mark} and so many others who still pray and stay connected to us.
As you can see, leaving home was a big deal and friends like that are not easy to come by. We miss so many there yet have made others along the way and God has placed very special people in our path of life. Phil and Meg Williams and family as well as Johnny Haywood, Samuel Karate teachers and too many others to mention from church. The impacts these friends have made in our lives and the impact of churches across the US is wonderful.
We give praise to Mt. Carney Church as well as Evening Shade, Grace Community and many others, including families churches all over.
I have some of the sweetest extended family, actually a huge family and so many of them are a huge part of our lives as well. We love all the Procks, Hurleys, Blankenships, Barrs and everything inbetween!
Our family never want to forget who we beleive is truley responsible for all of the blessings that have been given to us and want to never forget where every breath and every blessing comes from. We also remember that even if every blessing was taken from us, He would still be there to carry us through and will always be our Lord and Savoir. He will bring us through this time of pain and heal our hearts and minds. Ervan is finally free of pain and the reason why he followed Jesus so one day he would walk with HIm forever in a Glorified body!
