| Comments: | Chris and Vickie. My heart goes out to you. Your ordeal brings tears to my eyes. It reminds me of my struggles with Leah and her rheumatoid arthritis. She out grew it for a while. She is now 27 and having some problems and has to take medication. She is a nurse at Children's Hospital in San Diego in the intensive care unit. I will walk her down the aisle June 9th, and she says I can sing "I Loved Her First" at the reception. I don't know how people cope that don't know Christ. I will daily pray for all of you. Tell your Dad we just returned from southern California and stayed with Jeff and Madeline. They are doing real well. We also stopped in Reno and visited my Mom in an adult assisted home. I speak from personal experience of someone who suffered from several diseases( Celiac Sprue Disease, BiPolar, and hypoglygemia) one of which there is no cure for and have been miraculously healed of all three by God after recieving prayer at the House of Hope and Healing. | Comments: | Chris and Vickie and Family, I just wanted to let you know that your family has been very much on my heart and mind after reading your story in the Kansas City Star, and I knew that I had to connect with you since I have a simular situation. I can relate alot to what you are going through, because I myself have just gone through a bone marrow transplant in October. I was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS) on August 9th and I had my bone marrow transplant in October. I am 20 years old, and I had my transplant done at Saint Lukes Hospital in KC where I live. The staff there has been amazing, and even though a transplant seems so scary it really was the best thing that has happened to me, because now I have new life and without a bone marrow transplant they said I wouldnt have much of a chance of surviving, but I am doing great now and am starting to live my life back to normal! | Comments: | My daughter has been diagnosed with aplastic anemia and myelodysplastic syndromes. She had a bone marrow (stem cell) transplant from an unrelated international donor this past July on her 26th birthday at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. We have been very pleased with the medical care she has received. She is still in a lengthy recovery process in St. Louis at this time, but hoping to return to the Kansas City area soon. Her blood counts have gotten back in the normal ranges, but it has been a lengthy process with some graft vs. host complications and reactions to some of the various medications. My prayers and thoughts are with you. |

Machelle's birthday, etc. Machelle has kept us up to date on your family. Today is the first time I have seen the webpage. I pray for you and your children. I pray that God can heal them all and let them lead full lives. You have a beautiful family. I have one daughter that is 9 years of age. She would of had a brother 11 years of age, but I lost him full term, still birth to CMV virus. The loss of a child, is hard to understand, but I know that GOD had plans for my little Jacob and needed him early. I pray that God will bless your children and give them strength to battle these terrible diseases. I also pray that God will give you and Chris the continued strength to help your family. But we are all doing excellent as with the drug Neupogen none of them have had even the slightest infection in over 14 years. WE all pray that you will have the same blessing bestowed upon your family with some sort of miracle or medical marvel that will have your lives back to normal.
